Daily drinking of milk is important for children’s health and proper development. Many years of scientific research confirm that milk and its products are among the most versatile products in terms of nutritional value. Milk is the best source of calcium, it contains high-quality proteins, easily digestible fats, vitamins: A, B2, D, E and K and important mineral compounds. The promotion of a healthy habit of children’s daily consumption of milk should be prioritized. It is recommended to drink at least 2 full glasses of milk and 1-2 slices of cheese daily.
In Poland, in the school year 2014/2015, due to the use of national and EU subsidies, children attending primary schools can drink non-flavored milk for free, while flavored milk price is only PLN 0.22 per box.
The District Dairy Cooperative in Radomsko is a leader in the production of school milk in Poland.
In 2006 and 2007, we were honored by the President of ARR with the Cup as – The best producer of milk and milk products, the leader of the “Glass of Milk” program. Our experience in the production and distribution of milk for the purposes of the “Glass of Milk” program dates back to 2004. Throughout the entire period of participation in the Program, we improve and enrich our offer and service of the program.
In our activities we are supported by the “Milk with Class” program.
As part of the program implemented together with the “Milk with Class” program, we offer educational institutions white, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry UHT milk in cartons of 0.25l with a straw, with a fat content of 1.5% – pictures on our website in the tab PRODUCTS / UHT milk school
The purpose of this program is:
influencing the increase in the consumption of milk and its products by groups of the population for whom milk and its products are particularly indicated for health or social reasons – children and adolescents,
supporting and conducting scientific and research works related to dairy products, especially methods of production and distribution that protect the quality and nutritional value of milk and its products,
impact on public awareness of the value of milk and dairy products in human nutrition,
promoting a healthy lifestyle.
